Hello

These are our policies for tattooing or piercing a minor. The state of Nebraska requires the documentation listed below. Please make sure you bring the proper documentation at the time of your appointment or service.

    • Piercings:  For most standard piercings, apart from ear lobes, our age requirement is 14 and up with a parent/guardian, or 18 and up by yourself. If the minor is 14-17, both the minor and parent/guardian will need to have valid, not expired, state or federally issued ID's; as well as the minor's birth certificate. If you are 18 and up, you will just need a valid and not expired state or federally issued ID with you.

    • Any kind of genital/nipple/dermal piercings are 18+ with no exceptions.

    • Tattoos:  For tattoos, our age requirement is 16 and up with a parent/guardian, or 18 and up by yourself. If you are 16-17, both the minor and parent/guardian will need to have valid, not expired, state or federally issued ID's; as well as the minor's birth certificate. If you are 18 and up, you will just need a valid and not expired state or federally issued ID with you.

    • Placement of tattoos on minors are restricted to areas visible while wearing shorts and a sports bra. Under no circumstances will we tattoo the hands or face of a minor.

Birth certificate of a minor is required by law. All names must match from the state issued identification to what is on the birth certificate. If there has been a name change, the legal documentation verifying where the change occurred is required as well. Documents such as: adoption records, guardian records (marriage certificate), or court documents (divorce decree) will be copied in addition to abide by this law.
